Wilson talks Fulham contract negotiations

Fulham forward Harry Wilson has revealed his next contract "has to be right for him and his family" as he approaches the final six months of his deal at Craven Cottage.

Wilson's current deal expires on June 30 and Fulham are looking to get him on fresh terms - amid a stunning purple patch in which he has got six goal involvements in his last four league games.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Your Site, Wilson said when asked for an update about his contract talks: "Yeah, not a lot really. Like I said before, I'm fully focused on playing.

"I play football because I love the game and wherever I am, it's got to be somewhere where I'm going to play. Like you said, that's what I played for before, that's what I love doing.

"If we get to the World Cup, I want to be in the best shape going into that and I think what's going to put me in the best position is somewhere where I'm playing, getting the minutes, playing well.

"Hopefully scoring and assisting, I've been able to do that the last couple of months and then whatever happens after that happens.

Fulham boss Marco Silva is also entering the final six months of his contract - and has said Wilson needs love and responsibility in his team which may help him stay.

When asked if he is waiting to see what happens with Silva, he replied: "No, I don't think so. He has his own contract, I have mine.

"I'm sure the club are trying to sort him because of the amazing job he's done here. Yeah, they're not linked.

"But I do agree that I'm a player that likes that responsibility as well. I feel like that's when I play my best football when I've got that responsibility, when I feel like its on me to produce something or help the team, I think that's when I play my best."

Asked if he wants to stay, Wilson replied: "Fulham is somewhere I wanted somewhere to call home. For the last four and a half years, it's somewhere I've been really, really happy.

"I feel like we've had some amazing times together, we've won the Championship, we've had three solid years in the Premier League and I'm hoping this will be another one.

"But this next contract has got to be right for me and my family. So yeah, we'll see what happens."

'Arsenal make contact with Lille over highly-rated teenager'

Arsenal have initiated talks with Ligue 1 side Lille over 18-year-old prodigy Ayyoub Bouaddi, according to The Mirror

The report suggests that Arsenal are keen to sign the midfielder, who is valued at around 39.4m, in January.

The France youth international is also said to have garnered interest from Liverpool and Manchester United.

Bouaddi has featured in all but two of Lille's Ligue 1 games so far this campaign, missing their most recent outings as he serves a red card suspension.

Emery opens the door for January arrivals

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has refused to rule out signing reinforcements in the January transfer window.

Villa were limited in the summer transfer window and spent just over 26m on the additions of Evann Guessand, Marco Bizot, while Jadon Sancho and Harvey Elliott also arrived on loan. Victor Lindelof was then added for free.

Emery's side were active in the last winter window, securing the permanent signing of Donyell Malen and also welcoming both Marcus Rashford, Axel Disasi and Marcos Asensio on temporary deals.

As a result of their arrivals, Villa made a push in the second half of the season, reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League, semi-finals of the FA Cup and pushing the race for the top five to the final whistle of the campaign.

Now, with his side well placed in the league and in Europe once again, Emery is reluctant to rule out similar reinforcements being called upon.

"Of course, we are open to doing it and the club is working for it," he told Your Site.

"But last year was really fantastic. How we did with Malen, Rashford, Asensio and Disasi. Those four players joined us and helped us a lot.

"This year, we must be ready and we must care about how we can improve the squad and do it in case we need to."

Where will in-demand Semenyo end up?

Man Utd have pulled clear of their competition and are now favourites to sign Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, reports suggest.

Man City are also keeping close tabs on developments with the 25-year-old, while Tottenham are one of several other clubs interested.

Earlier this week Your Site News reported that some insiders believe City are the strongest contenders for his signature.

United are considered serious rivals for both City and Spurs, with Liverpool believed to still be in the background.
